Neue 2: Release date and information

After several months in silent development, I am pleased to announce that Neue 2 will be released soon.

Neue 2 is the follow-up to 2013’s Neue Update, a major overhaul to the Wiki that was designed to encourage activity in the Zimmer Twins community. The reactions and criticisms of the Neue Update have been acknowledged: Neue 2 will behave like a non-intrusive addend rather than a forced integration, as it will be hosted on a separate subdomain, returning full power of the Wiki to the users; in addition, the currency system, along with other features deemed pointless, have been removed entirely, and remaining features have been thoroughly revamped to serve much more purpose, rewarding members who choose to participate. Feedback will also be a larger factor, as users’ suggestions may directly impact Neue 2.

The changes will be too radical for me alone to operate: although I have composed these updates purely independently, Neue 2 will be handled by a team rather than by myself, creating fluency and ease in management and severely reducing the risk of miscellaneous issues. Although the members of the team have already been determined, users will become eligible to be part of it once they have demonstrated sufficient support for the update. I apologize for the amount of time it has taken to finalize the update, and for the continuous lack of firmly detailed information regarding it; however, I hope the community finds that the numerous delays and missed deadlines have proven beneficial and attributed to Neue 2’s massively increased quality, as I have found designing it.
