Well, there's been a lot of talk about languages recently. So, I was wondering if I should start a Japanese club with the following people: Myself, Blahbumian, Rue and imastamper.
I have been wondering about learning Japanese for a while, but at times I was stuck between Chinese and Japanese - Chinese has moronic grammar and is more useful, yet Japanese has a couple of actual alphabets (hiragana, katakana) and the kanji characters aren't so complicated and isn't tonal like Chinese, which is a big plus. But, now I chose Japanese, because it's the language that owns my heart along with French.
Imastamper, I think, has been trying to learn Japanese for maybe even a year now. From what I remember, she said she can't really find any good material, nor made much progress.
Rue told me yesterday that he is interested in Japanese but it seems hard and stuff.
Blahbumian is also wondering about it.
So, how about the 4 of us start a Japanese Club - we help each other learn the language, and have conversations in the language. We would meet on xat.
The thing is, we would do this during summer vacation, starting in Late June or Early July. For 3 reasons:
1) There's no school, so we'd have more time to learn Japanese. 2) There's no school, so we could meet more often - on weekdays too, not only weekends. 3) I want to get a bit better at French before I start Japanese. Also, Blah would like to improve his Hebrew, but I'm not sure if he's going to do that now.
So do y'all want to do this starting summer?
P.S. If anyone else wants to join the Japanese club on xat.com/Sarcy, just tell me in the comments!
